  • Dish TV reports profits in first full quarter post merger with Videocon d2h

    BENGALURU: Indian direct to home (DTH) behemoth Dish TV India Limited (Dish TV) reported profit after tax (PAT) of Rs 22.5 crore for the quarter ended 30 June 2018 (Q1 2019, quarter under review). Dish TV and Videocon d2h were merged on 22 March 2018 and hence Q1 2019 was the first full reporting quarter for the merged entity.

    MUMBAI: With an aim to make communications and TV services more accessible to people with disabilities (PWDs), the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India has come out with a series of recommendations, including a confusing one suggesting that 50 per cent TV channels to be developed in PWD-friendly and accessible format over the next five years.

  • BARC Week 26: Santoor Sandal And Turmeric Leads Top 10 Brands

    Santoor Sandal and Turmeric led BARC’s Top 10 Brands for Week 26 ( June 23-29) with 14,081 insertions. Ministry of Health and Family Welfare climbed to the second spot with 13,288 insertions.

    Lux Toilet Soap, Lifebuoy Toilet Soap and Lizol climbed up to third, fourth and fifth spots with 12,517, 12,035 and 11,278 insertions respectively. 
    Fogg, Dettol Toilet Soaps, Trivago, Harpic, and Roop Mantra Ayur Face cream forayed in the category at the sixth, seventh and eighth spots with 11,273, 9834, 8975, 8254 and 8161 insertions respectively.

    In the same week, in BARC's Top 10 Advertisers FMCG brand Hindustan Lever continued to reign with improved 1,76,086 insertions, followed by Reckitt Benckiser with 70,207 insertions.

  • Tata projects bags 3,000 crore project in chhattisgarh

    MUMBAI: Tata Projects Limited recently announced that its ‘Smart Cities Business Unit’ has been awarded Bharat Net project worth Rs 30.57 billion in Chhattisgarh.  The project involves laying of Optical Fibre Network that follows ring architecture with Internet Protocol – Multi Protocol Label Switching (IP-MPLS) technology.
