While all stakeholders continue to be tight lipped, the market is abuzz with speculations. MUMBAI: Associated Broadcasting Company Private Limited (ABCPL) expects its Hindi news channel TV9 Bharatvarsh to break-even in FY21. The channel, which launched in Q4 FY19, is expected to incur losses in FY20, which is its first full year of operations.

The regulator had issued a consultation paper on ‘Reserve Price for auction of FM Radio Channels’ on 16th October 2019 and sought suggestions from stakeholders on the issues listed in the reference of MIB.

Star India has deferred the launch of five upcoming channels – Vijay Music, Star Sports 3 HD, Star Gold 2 HD, Star Movies Select and Disney Channel HD. In an intimation to distribution platform operators, the network did not provide any reason for the delay.
