    According to BARC data of HSM NCCS All India (Urban+Rural) for week 15 and we see no major change with this week too DD National leading the Hindi GEC Pay TV category with 1970mn impressions, Sony SAB at the 2nd spot with 876mn impressions followed by Sony Entertainment Television on the 3rd spot with 467mn impressions.

According to BARC India’s viewership data for week 13, English News channels have seen a tremendous growth both in average impressions and reach, in the 22+ M NCCS AB/Megacities, on a week-on-week basis.

    India Today garnered 697 MN gross impressions in Wk 15 in the English News genre and is also Number 1 in week 15.

  • GECs see 40% drop in ad volume over last 4 weeks

    For instance, the Free Commercial Time (FCT) on GEC has dropped by almost 40% in four weeks. In week 15, the total FCT for the category was at 49 lakh seconds as compared to 82 lakh seconds in Week 12. These figures are as per the BARC-Nielsen report ‘Crisis Consumption on TV and Smartphones’.
